Loren Bassett teaches a challenging, dynamic power flow emphasizing strength, flexibility, and balance that heals and detoxifies the body and mind at their deepest levels.
She was first introduced to Power Vinyasa Yoga more than 10 years ago in Dallas, Texas. As a long-time, competitive athlete, Power Vinyasa’s challenging meditative flow immediately resonated with her on a physical and mental level. As she deepened her practice, she recognized the profound and positive impact yoga also had on her emotionally, professionally, and spiritually.
Loren trained with Baron Baptiste, received her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training certification from New York Yoga in 1992 and recently completed a 72-hour course in musculo-skeletal anatomy and kinesiology with Jason Brown. Today, she leads classes and workshops at New York City’s finest yoga studios and works with private clients to help them achieve their goals.
As a yoga instructor and New York City real estate professional, she understands the emotional and physical challenges that come with managing stress and maintaining a balanced lifestyle. She attributes her success, happiness and high energy to yoga’s ability to keep her grounded and inwardly balanced.
Loren is an active member of Junior League and has volunteered extensively for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, ASPCA, and New York Foundling. She received her BA in International Studies from Pepperdine University in Malibu California. |
